Are you a mom or mom-to-be who has a great pregnancy haiku to share? Submit it here and I’ll post it on this page. If yours is one of my favorites, I’ll add it to the collection of haiku on the home page (along with your name, of course)!
Writing your pregnancy haiku is easy:
• The first line has 5 syllables. The second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5.
• Haiku generally don’t rhyme. So don’t worry your pretty little head about that.
• Haiku are meant to evoke feelings or explore important themes. You know, like how you feel when you realize you can’t bend to tie your own shoes, or the compelling “How many times can I get sick at work before my co-workers suspect something?” theme.
Happy haiku!
